As a world-leading developer of technology for both on-street and off-street car parking, Smart Parking is highlighting its innovative solutions at InterTraffic 2014.
The company’s technology is now deployed by a growing number of high-profile cities around the world, including Westminster City Council, Birmingham City Council, Camden Council and The City of Edinburgh Council in the UK; Waverley Council (Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama Beach) in Australia; San Francisco in the United States; and Auckland Council and Rotorua Council in New Zealand. Smart Parking’s growing portfolio underlines the strength of demand for the business’s integrated technology and service solutions.
Smart Parking will be focusing on central aspects and unique advantages of its technology at InterTraffic. Key highlights on show at the exhibition include:
SmartRFID – An intelligent Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) that identifies and links a specific vehicle/driver to a specific parking location. This can be used for both on-street and off-street spaces enabling real time management of any dedicated parking bay. SmartRFID also enables cashless payments so that permit bay renewals can be easily processed electronically.
SmartPark - a proven, robust, accurate and cost-effective way to help drivers find unoccupied parking spaces. SmartPark cuts traffic congestion and vehicle emissions as drivers quickly locate spaces. It increases compliance as parking space activity is monitored in real time, and increases enforcement performance as action can be focused where an offence or cluster of offences occur.
Pay & Walk – a barrier-less off-street solution that enables car park users to pay and walk away, with no need to return to their vehicles to display a ticket. Pay & Walk delivers flexibility by enabling topping-up via phone, increases compliance and revenue by improving enforcement effectiveness, cuts ticket hand-ons, improves traffic flow, and provides real time revenue and space-by-space usage reporting.
The Smart Parking team will be on hand to answer queries, provide demonstrations of the company’s technologies including Pay & Walk and SmartPark, and also outline future innovations under development.
