NewRiver REIT plc continues Smart Parking roll out across their portfolio

Smart Parking and NewRiver have been working together for over 18 months to bring our world class managed parking experience to New River Retail customers across the UK.
NewRiver invests, manages and develops convenience and community-led retail and leisure assets across the UK. Their sprawling portfolio includes 34 shopping centres, 20 retail parks, over 600 community pubs.
Being one of the UK’s largest owner-operators of retail property, this also means they manage a vast amount of car parks, and the challenges of poorly run parking facilities was something they wanted to improve as part of their overall customer experience. Having explored a variety of parking companies, NewRiver decided to appoint Smart Parking in June 2017 as their principal parking partner.
The properties under management included a range of parking options, from multi-storey to outdoor retail and public houses. This meant that there was no one size fits all approach, and Smart Parking’s expertise and experience resulted in us being able to identify each individual car park’s unique requirements and tailor the system to suit NewRiver and their customer base.
We currently have over a dozen sites with a combination of ANPR Max Stay, ANPR Pay & Walk, Permit and Season Ticket facilities in use, and can use a mix of different technologies should the site require it.
After a reasonably disheartening experience with various parking agencies, we turned to Smart Parking to see if they could offer more than the incumbents we were using. From the get-go they were open and engaging, and their expertise and practical approach around suitable solutions for each unique site gave us renewed faith in the process. After 12 successful installs so far, I’m happy to say we enjoy a fantastic relationship with the team at Smart Parking, whose open, honest and transparent service approach have made the entire process a breeze. We can now offer customers a vastly superior parking experience, and look forward to continuing our partnership with Smart Parking well into the future.
