Smart Parking appoints new EMEA Head of Technology

We are pleased to announce the addition of Lewis Johnson as our new EMEA Head of Technology.

Previously Technology and Data Lead at Westminster City Council Parking Service, Lewis was responsible for defining and mobilising the transformation of the parking service technology used to manage the kerbside in Europe’s largest parking authority.
He successfully designed Westminster’s Bay Sensor solution from trial through to deployment which went on to win the Innovation Award at the 2013 Tech Success Awards, the prestigious Parking Technology award at the 2014 British Parking Awards and listed among Sustainia’s top 100 innovations in 2014.

Prior to joining Westminster City Council Lewis played a key role at Mouchel Group Plc (Traffic Support) as Product and Business Intelligence Manager where he designed software solutions for the nationwide DVLA non-taxed vehicle operation and Westminster City Councils and Islington Borough Council Virtual Resident Permit issue.

Lewis will take full responsibility of the operations team here at Smart Parking Technology and be key in delivering, implementing and supporting new and existing SmartPark installations. From our Birmingham offices he will focus on product development, roadmap and software integrations ensuring we remain in the forefront of parking technology.
