The ‘Smart Parking’ app is available to download for both Android and iOS, and contains a raft of features designed to help direct motorists to available parking spaces, advise of car park conditions and tariffs, and utilise contactless payment.
Features include Google Maps-powered guidance to find a car park, as well as providing detailed, live information around hours and availability, tariffs, directions and distance. By harnessing the power of SmartCloud, we can show real-time location and guidance information from each site our sensors are installed in.
Smart Parking's app is powered by SmartCloud and Google Maps, linking the data gathered by SmartCloud from the sensors and displaying it using the familiar format of Google Maps.
It is a feature-rich application that can be programmed to have as many or as few of the suite of capabilities as your site requires. At its most basic it displays directional way finding to available bays and tariff information such as parking hours and charges. You can also filter for parking bay types including disabled, limited waiting, pay & display - or anything else to suit the site or sites.
A payment function can also be included where motorists can pay via their smartphone rather than worry about coins or cards for payment machines. Another bonus to paying by phone is the remote top up feature, whereby the app sends an alert that the paid parking time is running low, serving both as a reminder for motorists to get back to the car or use the remote top up feature to add more time without having to return to their car.
The payment feature also saves current and previous parking sessions, meaning motorists can have instant access to previous parking and invoices.
If your requirements include an app tailored to your site and brand, we can work with you to customise a guidance and payment app for your individual specifications.
This includes features and benefits that align with your parking strategy and goals, as well as being completely re-named and branded to your colour specifications and brand guidelines and will be available as a stand-alone app on the Apple and Google Play stores.
Having an app tailored for your area reaps many benefits. Visitors and residents alike can easily find the app for the area they are in, and it acts to further align your brand and smart city strategy with the public. You can analyse the information gathered by the app and interact directly with your customers around things such as free event parking or special season offers, leading to greater community engagement.
So far, we have deployed our customised app across the City of Adelaide and Moonee Valley City Council in Australia, Cardiff Council in Wales, and Coconut Grove in Miami, with lots more sites soon to come live.
These provide an IoT gateway in a single unit, allowing hundreds of different devices to connect and providing areas of open connectivity called SmartZones.
These display real-time information around space availability and car park capacity, as well as providing directions to encourage traffic flow.
Using our SmartCloudAPI interface, our tailored service pack provides you access to real-time information and events on your site.
We offer a range of sensors to suit the needs of different sites. These robust and scalable devices monitor bays and relay live status information to SmartCloud.
Developed in-house, SmartCloud is our sophisticated, powerful and innovative web-based service platform that gathers and processes information.
